Join thousands of costumed runners at the second annual San Francisco Costume Dash 5k on Sunday, October 29th!

Put on your craziest costume and get ready for five kilometers of fun through Golden Gate Park! 

The fun continues after the run with an after party in the park featuring a costume contest and free gifts from our sponsors!  Don't miss out. Start your 2017 Halloween celebration in style!

Start Time: 8:30 a.m. / End Time: 10:00 a.m.

Packet Pick-Up: SUNDAY, October 29th, 7:00 a.m., at the Golden Gate Park Bandshell.

Race Rules

  1. Everyone is strongly encouraged to wear a costume.
  2. NO REFUNDS under any circumstances.
  3. All participants must sign a waiver of liability.
  4. Prices are subject to change without notice.
  5. If there is severe weather that prevents the event from being held at all on Sunday, it will be moved to a later weekend date.
  6. No weapons are allowed as part of a costume.
Costume Contest

Costume Contest

A costume contest will be held post-race, which includes special prizes and swag for the best costumes as selected by crowd applause, so be sure to go all out! To be eligible to win in the costume contest, you must wear your costume during the race.

Sunset Cooperative Nursery School is a non-profit that provides a nurturing and compassionate environment for preschoolers to grow, learn, and play.

Sunset is the oldest operating cooperative preschool in San Francisco and has been a pillar of the Outer Sunset neighborhood since 1940. Sunset is committed to building a stronger community through play-based learning and healthy emotional development for both parents and children.
