Grab your craziest costume, lace up your running shoes and get ready for some spooky fun, because the Boston Costume Dash is returning on Saturday, October 26th! With an all-new course on the Charles River Esplanade, an afternoon start time and awesome after party, the revamped 2019 event will be can’t-miss!
Not just a road race, it’s a complete Halloween experience!
After hundreds of costumed runners dressed as superheroes, inflatable dinosaurs and other spirited costumes take on the beautiful 5k course in hilarious fashion, the fun is just beginning. Once you claim your commemorative finisher’s medal, celebrate with a costume contest, free sponsor swag, and an after party for 21+ runners!
This event is sponsored by the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR).

As you know, the United States has seen a continued surge in COVID-19 cases that unfortunately shows no signs of slowing. Although we had hoped to produce Costume Dash in October, we’ve deemed the risk to our staff, our volunteers, our runners, and the local community that hosts our event to be too great to conduct the event in 2020.
If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to [email protected].
On behalf of the Costume Dash team, we thank you for your understanding and support during these unprecedented times, and we look forward to getting out there and running with you in 2021.
